Uzbekistan’s chess players won prizes at a prestigious competition held in the UAE. The blitz tournament was organized for the 29th Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival. It was attended by chess players from 40 countries. Shamsiddin Vakhidov and Javokhir Sindarov are among the winners.

Among the 217 participants in the blitz group, grandmaster Shamsiddin Vakhidov took first place, gaining 10 points in 11 rounds. Javokhir Sindarov received 9 points and took third place. Another chess player Islombek Sindarov, who participated in the Blitz Under 16 group of this tournament, scored 10 points in 11 rounds according to the results of competitions between 255 participants. This result allowed Islombek to finish the competition in second place.
