Chess: Uzbekistan national team becomes second at the Turkic Speaking Countries Chess Association Championship 2025
The Turkic Speaking Countries Chess Association Championship 2025 took place at the Müzeyyen Erkul Gaziantep Science Center in Türkiye.
Eight teams, each with two chess players, played in a round-robin format over seven rounds.
Muhammadzokhid Suyarov and Rukia Olimova defended Uzbekistan’s honor.

In the championship with a $5,950 prize fund, Uzbekistan’s chess players won five games, drew once, and lost one. They earned 11 points and finished second.
The Azerbaijani national team, which also had 11 points, took first place based on additional criteria. The host country representatives ranked third with 9 points.
