The winners of the FIDE World Rapid and Blitz Championships 2025 will be determined today in Doha, Qatar.
As reported, at the World Championships, attended by 394 chess players from more than 70 countries, Nodirbek Abdusattorov ranks 10th with 9 points, and Javohir Sindarov ranks 25th with 8.5 points.

Uzbekistan’s Umida Omonova is taking part in the women’s championships, ranking third among 140 participants with 8 points after 10 rounds.
On December 30, Nodirbek Abdusattorov will face 27-year-old Narayanan from India in the first match of the open tournament. Sindarov will play with Aram Hakobyan from Armenia, and Omonova will play with Eline Roebers from the Netherlands.

It should be noted that Arjun Erigaisi of India, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave of France, and Fabiano Caruana of the USA are leading the open tournament with 10 points. 6 chess players following them have 9.5 points each, and 11 chess players have 9 points each.
