On August 1, the World Rapid and Blitz Team Championship 2024 will kick off in Astana, Kazakhstan.

At the championship, with the participation of the strongest chess players in the world, Uzbekistan’s Nodirbek Abdusattorov will play in the WR Chess Team with 9 famous chess players, such as Magnus Carlsen, Ian Nepomniachtchi, Krzysztof Duda, and others.

Nodirbek Yokubboyev, Shamsiddin Vohidov, Jakhongir Vohidov will play in the Royal Chess Team. This team will be headed by our compatriot Tokhir Vohidov.

More than 350 chess players from 39 teams have submitted applications to participate in the competition.

The total prize fund of the championship is 350 thousand euros.

The competition will run until August 5.
