Hokim of Uzbekistan’s Jizzakh region Ergash Soliyev received members of the delegation of the Chery International of China.
Jizzakh region is becoming one of the drivers of the automotive industry. Electric cars from the famous Chinese company CHERY will soon join the ranks of KIA, LADA, and RENAULT produced in the region. They are expected to roll off the assembly line of the BYD brand, which is introducing electric vehicle technology.

Earlier, ADM JIZZAKH LLC announced signing an agreement with Chery International to produce light commercial vehicles.

The thousandth CHERY rolled off the assembly line, the presentation of which was attended by Chinese guests. The 42.5-hectare, $80 million facility plans to produce 20,000 vehicles of the brand per year. The annual budget income will be about 95-125 billion UZS, and the project’s payback period is 5 years. When the enterprise fully establishes the production cycle, 80 young people will receive permanent jobs.



Hokim of Jizzakh region Ergash Soliyev thanked the delegation members led by the Chairman of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., Mr. Yin Tongyue, for cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
