As is known, in accordance with the resolution of the UN General Assembly, July 30 is celebrated throughout the world as International Day of Friendship.

In accordance with the law adopted on February 10, 2021, at the initiative of the Head of state, this date was declared the Friendship of Peoples Day in Uzbekistan. This year, within its framework, the Friendship Festival is being held throughout the country.

Flowers were laid at the Independence Monument in the New Uzbekistan Park as part of the festive events.

The event was attended by officials of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries, representatives of national cultural centers and friendship societies, the city administration, young people, and the media.
