Russia’s Chelyabinsk hosted an International Forum on “Russia – Uzbekistan: From Mutually Beneficial Partnership to an Alliance Strategy”.
The Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Chelyabinsk Region, the Uzbek Military-Historical Society, the North-South Political Science Center, the Ural-Eurasia Expert Club (Yekaterinburg), and the International Cooperation Leaders organized the event.
The forum consisted of a plenary session and three sections. The participants discussed issues of further strengthening interethnic relations and cultural ties between Uzbekistan and Russia, prospects for youth tourism and student mobility in both countries, as well as prospects for trade and economic cooperation.
Proposals have been developed for holding events on the adaptation of Uzbekistan citizens in Russia, building ties between entrepreneurs among the two countries' youth. Agreements were reached in tourism and education.
