A special edition of the popular cooking show “Chefs on Wheels”, devoted to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, was broadcast on Channel One Russia. The project was implemented as part of the promotion of the country’s tourism potential with the assistance of the Tourism Committee and the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation.
The program’s shooting took place in Tashkent from September 12 to September 18, 2025. The show’s creative team became acquainted with the capital's historical, cultural, and gastronomic legacy. Creating a positive tourism image of Uzbekistan and increasing the Russian audience’s interest in traveling throughout the country were the program’s main objectives.

Famous Russian chefs Anton Ivnickii and Eduard Pogosov participated in this program. During the shoot, they visited the iconic sights of Tashkent, including the Kukaldosh Madrasah and the city’s central square, and also became familiar with the peculiarities of the national cuisine. A hot air balloon flight, which offered a bird’s-eye view of the capital, became one of the highlights of the program.
The gastronomic part of the project took place on one of the city’s most popular tourist streets – Broadway. Here, chefs prepared original dishes using local products, and residents and guests of the capital attended the tasting.
The edition showcased Tashkent’s modern look, its dynamic tourist atmosphere, and its rich gastronomic diversity. Given that the “Chefs on Wheels” program reaches 18 million viewers, the broadcast has become a key tool for promoting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in Russia.
