“Challenge Samarkand 2024” identifies the strongest

The main triathlon competition “Challenge Samarkand 2024” was held in Samarkand at the Silk Road International Tourism Center.

Both professional and amateur athletes participated in the competition, including a 1.9-kilometer swim, an 86-kilometer bike race, and a 21.5-kilometer run. In addition, a collective relay race was launched.

In the competition, with the participation of professional male athletes, Norwegian triathlete Kristian Blummenfelt was the first to cross the finish line. Second place also went to Norwegian triathlete Gustav Iden. In third place was the representative of Germany, Rico Bogen.

Among women, the victory also went to the representative of Norway, Laura Madsen. Marta Łagownik from Poland won second place, and Justine Guerard from France took third place. 

The winners of the amateur and collective relay competitions were also determined.

The victory among male amateur athletes went to Uzbekistan’s Andrey Sharipov. Participants who performed under the neutral flag – Semyon Pivovarov and Ilya Slepov took the second and third places.

In the collective relay, first place was taken by the team “Ozone FC”, second place by the team “Team INVESTCIP”, and third place by the team “Building Lights”. In the competition among women’s teams, first place was won by the team “Pyhteam5”, second place by the team “Tri Cotelettes”, and third place went to the team “Wild Lioness of Tashkent”.
