Samarkand hosted Challenge Samarkand-2023 sports competitions.

Triathlon competitions were held under the international brand “Challenge Family”. Swimming, running, and cycling competitions for 86 kilometers were organized. The participants overcame 21.5 kilometers in running on the territory of the Silk Road Samarkand complex.

The event also included the Uzbekistan Triathlon Championships among professional athletes. The athletes who will defend the honor of Uzbekistan at the world championships were determined.

In total, over 2,000 athletes participated in the Challenge Samarkand-2023 sports events, and most of them were foreign athletes. Sports masters from 35 countries, particularly Germany, Italy, the UK, the USA, South Africa, China, and Saudi Arabia competed for the victory.

The winners were awarded.

The festival was attended by the Chairman of the Uzbekistan Triathlon Federation Viktor Makhmudov and Samarkand region’s Hokim Erkinjon Turdimov.
