Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairperson of the Gender Equality Commission Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Uzbekistan Daniel Rosenblum.

According to the upper house of parliament, the parties discussed issues of cooperation, prospects for strengthening and enhancing ties between Uzbekistan and American parliamentarians, as well as ensuring gender equality.

It was noted that a dialogue of strategic partnership based on the principles of mutual respect has been established between the two countries. An important event is the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and the United States, which is being celebrated this year.

Daniel Rosenblum praised the work carried out in Uzbekistan to combat human trafficking and forced labor, ensure gender equality, promote women’s rights, including ensuring their employment.

The parties expressed their readiness for further development and expansion of partnership on the issues discussed, assistance in the implementation of joint projects.
