Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with a delegation of the European Parliament led by the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee David McAllister.

According to the upper house of parliament, the parties discussed issues of further strengthening cooperation with the European Union, in particular, inter-parliamentary relations.

David McAllister noted that the European Union pays attention to cooperation with the Central Asian countries, including the dynamic development of partnership and cooperation with Uzbekistan in areas of mutual interest.

The chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee noted that thanks to the measures taken by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to develop the country in the right direction, they are ready to support these reforms.
