Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva has met with the President of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly Volkan Bozkir.

President of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly praised the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan in state and social construction, liberalization of the economy, improving the investment climate, protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens.

The parties discussed youth policy in the country, implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the issue of ensuring gender equality, and noted the achievements in this sphere, including the approval of the Strategy for Achieving Gender Equality in Uzbekistan until 2030.

The sides expressed their readiness to further deepen cooperation and interaction, exchanged views on issues of mutual interest. An agreement was reached to continue a systematic dialogue and strengthen inter-parliamentary ties.
