A delegation from the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), led by Jannis Bellinghausen, arrived at the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Chairperson of the Senate Tanzila Narbayeva noted that she highly values Uzbekistan’s cooperation with BCI, whose support is essential to strengthening the sustainability of agriculture, promoting the principles of decent work, and enhancing transparency in cotton-textile supply chains.

Promising areas of cooperation include expanding Uzbekistan’s participation in international exhibitions and forums on sustainable textile industry development, strengthening collaboration with global brands, and the possibility of organizing international events in Uzbekistan with their participation.
