Uzbekistan delegation led by the Chairperson of the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers, Gayane Umerova, paid a working visit to Japan.

During the visit, the head of the delegation took part in the ceremony of laying the first stone for the construction of the national pavilion of Uzbekistan, being built on the territory of the World Expo 2025 to be held in Osaka.

Representatives of Uzbekistan also got acquainted with the activities of the Tokyo and Kyoto National Museums, the National Art Center, the Kyoto Handicraft Center, and several other cultural objects. They also reached an agreement on cooperation in museum affairs and the organization, in the near future, of special exhibitions in Japan dedicated to the culture and art of Uzbekistan.
