A delegation of the Senate of the Arab Republic of Egypt led by its Chairman Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq visited Samarkand, accompanied by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Sodiq Safoyev.

Samarkand region’s Hokim Erkinjon Turdimov welcomed the guests.

The delegation visited the mausoleum of Amir Temur, where the guests were informed about the great commander Amir Temur and his state, landscaping activities carried out in Mawarannahr, and the mausoleum’s history.

During the acquaintance with Registan Complex, the madrasahs built by Mirzo Ulugbek and Bahodir Yalangtush were examined, and measures taken by the state to preserve them were discussed.

The Chairman of the Senate of the Arab Republic of Egypt also visited the mausoleum of the First President Islam Karimov in Khazrati Khizr Complex.

The guests highly appreciated the Bibikhanum Mosque and other attractions.
