An international forum on “Crafts of the Turkic peoples” has kicked off at the International Ceramics Center in Rishtan district of Fergana region.

Master ceramists, cultural figures, art historians, and researchers from all country regions, including Central Asian countries, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, France, Israel, the Czech Republic, Russia, and others, are taking part in it.

Deputy Hokim of the region Khurshidjon Akhmedov, Chairman of the Hunarmand Association Ulugbek Abdullayev noted that as a result of the special attention paid in the country to the development of handicrafts, its ancient rich traditions, Rishtan ceramics, which has a long history, unique traditions, and styles, is rapidly developing, taking into account the requirements time.

The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Rishtan Ceramics: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” was full of exciting discussions and reports on relevant issues. 

Speeches by Russian researchers and art historians from Namangan, Bukhara, and Tashkent were met with great interest. Experts gave detailed answers to questions regarding the topics raised.
