Bishkek hosted a meeting of the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia on “The role of women in the economies of Central Asia: leadership to promote digital, social and environmental innovation”. Uzbekistan delegation led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbayeva also participated in it.
Parliamentarians from Central Asian countries, the Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia, representatives of government agencies, international and non-governmental organizations, business, and expert communities attended the event.
This Dialogue, organized in 2021 on the initiative of Uzbekistan, is an essential platform for strengthening cooperation between women leaders of the region. In 2021-2023, the Dialogue carried out its activities under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan.

Proposals for regional cooperation were actively discussed, and the participants shared their positive experiences in their countries. An agreement was reached on joint measures.
Following the event, the participants approved the Action Plan for the Dialogue of Women Leaders of Central Asia, envisaged for the period of Kyrgyzstan’s presidency in 2024.
