The first Central Asian Experts Forum is being attended by representatives of all five Central Asian countries.
In his opening remarks, Vladimir Norov, Director of the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, noted that the last two years had become historical and breakthroughs in development of regional cooperation.
Mutually beneficial solutions have been achieved based on reasonable compromises on a number of important issues related to water use, demarcation and delimitation of borders, resumption and expansion of transport links and mutual electricity supply.
“We, representatives of analytical structures, should be at the forefront and be the core in development of strategic proposals for joint solution of existing problems and further development of interstate relations”, said Vladimir Norov.
The forum continues its work.
