Chirchik, Uzbekistan, hosts the Central Asian Weightlifting Championships.

As part of the competitions, a meeting was held with representatives of the Kazakhstan Weightlifting Federation.

At the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the First Deputy Chairman of the country’s Weightlifting Federation Sh. Makhmudov and the First Vice-President of the Kazakhstan Weightlifting Federation G. Gadzhiev discussed strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation, exchanging experience, and organizing joint training between national teams.

Gadzhi Gadzhiev highly appreciated the work implemented in Uzbekistan to develop weightlifting and train qualified athletes.

During the conversation between representatives of the two fraternal peoples, agreements were reached on the further development of weightlifting.
