The Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov took part in the first meeting of ministers responsible for foreign economic and trade activities “Central Asia – China”, via videoconference.
The parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects for further development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the countries of the Central Asian region and China, including in the liberalization and simplification of trade procedures, attracting investment, expanding the multilateral trading system, increasing the volume of mutual supply of products, the introduction of the digital economy, the development of transport infrastructure, strengthening of regional cooperation.

Mr. Laziz Kudratov noted the importance of efficient use of the huge transit potential of the Central Asian region and China, as well as the need for developing system solutions to ensure uninterrupted cargo flow and developing cross-border logistics networks.
The importance of continuing work on deepening interregional development was emphasized. The parties discussed the prospects for intensifying interaction as part of the expansion of digital trade.

The meeting participants noted with satisfaction the successful coordination of the memorandums planned for signing on strengthening trade and economic cooperation and partnerships in digital trade in the “China – Central Asia” format.
