A festive event dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of Uzbekistan’s state independence took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The festive event, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan under the motto “In the name of a new life, in the name of a New Uzbekistan!”, was attended by representatives of embassies of 138 countries operating in the United Arab Emirates, ministries and agencies of the UAE, international organizations, partner companies, and our compatriots.
From the UAE side, the event was attended by the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazrouei.
The anthems of the two countries were played at the event. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Arab Emirates Abdulaziz Akkulov congratulated those gathered on the greatest, dearest holiday. The partnership has been developing comprehensively in recent years between Uzbekistan and the UAE. Cooperation at different levels has intensified, and a qualitatively new stage in relations has begun, which corresponds to the interests of the two states. Thirty-one years ago, diplomatic ties were established between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates. In 1996, a consulate of Uzbekistan began operating in the city of Dubai. Since 2007, the Embassy of Uzbekistan has been operating in Abu Dhabi.

In connection with the celebration of the independence of the country, a festive table was set for the guests. “Lazgi Ashula va Raqs” ensemble of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan and other artists performed. Songs about the Motherland, friendship, and love gave a particular mood to the event’s guests.
