Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission, B. Kuchkarov, has met with the General Secretary of the EU – Uzbekistan Friendship Group, Ipek Tekdemir.

The parties discussed the preparations for the upcoming elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the changes made to the electoral legislation, the financing of the election campaign, the use of modern information technologies in the election process, the activities of district election commissions for holding elections, polling stations created at diplomatic and other representations abroad.

Issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union were considered.
