The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of the National Defense College of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh within the framework of their study tour to Uzbekistan.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan held a meeting with representatives of the National Defense College of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh within the framework of their study tour to Uzbekistan on September 15-21, 2018.
The meeting was attended by participants of the training session from countries such as Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria, the Press Service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
Members of the delegation were provided with information on the Action Strategy for five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, in particular, the results of ongoing reforms on ensuring openness of the economy, protecting investment of foreign investors, sustainable business development and increasing the share of private property in the economy, as well as expansion and strengthening of good-neighborly and trade-economic relations between Central Asian countries.
As promising areas for strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, the parties listed such sectors as cotton processing and production of finished textile products, increased mutual supplies of fruit and vegetable products, chemical industry, fisheries, and development of pilgrimage tourism to increase the tourist flow to Uzbekistan of the above-mentioned countries, where the majority of citizens are Muslims.
