The CCI delegation took part in the conference held under the aegis of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and dedicated to sustainable industrial development in the New Silk Road Economic Belt, in the city of Shanghai (PRC).

On April 18, the CCI delegation took part in the conference held under the aegis of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and dedicated to sustainable industrial development in the New Silk Road Economic Belt, in the city of Shanghai (PRC).

During the event, the CCI representatives informed the participants on measures being taken in Uzbekistan for improving the business environment, attracting foreign investment in industrial sectors of the economy, as well as on advantages of doing business in free economic zones established in the country.

Within the framework of the conference, participants exchanged views on specifics of creation and development of free economic zones, including in Central and South-East Asia, as well as visits to industrial FEZs operating near the city of Shanghai, were organized.

As reported by the Press Service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, following the visit, the CCI experts are planning to prepare sound proposals for improving activities of FEZ in the country for further discussion with authorized state bodies and the expert community, for adoption.
