Cavalry border troops – on the world stage
Cavalry border troops took part in the World Open Championship among horses of Akhal-Teke breed “Pearl of the East 2019” in horseracing and at the exhibition organized in Tashkent region.
One of the priority directions of development of horse breeding and equestrian sports in Uzbekistan is holding world championships in equestrian sport and exhibitions with participation of the cavalrymen of the SSS border troops.
On May 3-5, they took part in the World Open Championship among horses of Akhal-Teke breed “Pearl of the East 2019” in horseracing and at the exhibition organized in Tashkent region.
The judges consisting of representatives of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, specialists from Russia, Kazakhstan, the Czech Republic, Estonia and Australia, evaluated all participants in accordance with international standards.
The cavalrymen of the border troops competed along with the riders of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sport of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
In the 80-km run, the cavalryman of the SSS border troops junior sergeant Sh.Askarov on the service horse nicknamed “Kagor” became the best, employees of the SSS border troops M.Togayev and Sh.Donabekov on the service horses “Kibray” and “Kumar” won the 2nd and 3rd places respectively at 1,200-meters run.
In addition, at the exhibition of horses of Akhal-Teke breed, the service horse named “Kibray” took the 2nd place.
Following the championships, the winners were awarded with medals, cups, certificates and valuable gifts.
