The Central Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship has begun at the Olympic Village in Tashkent. National teams from Iran, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan are taking part in the tournament.

Officials of the Volleyball Federation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and members of the organizing committee attended the opening ceremony.

On the first day of the competition, the national teams of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan faced each other. The match ended with a 3:0 victory for the Uzbekistan athletes.

Today, the Uzbek volleyball players will play against the national team of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The tournament will run until October 5.
