Carolyn Lamm: “Reforms in Uzbekistan increase the confidence of foreign entrepreneurs in this country”

Chairman of the Board of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, who arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Ms. Carolyn Lamm met with the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate Sodiq Safoyev.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for further cooperation, including the expansion of trade-economic ties between Uzbekistan and the United States.

Special attention was paid to the creation of a solid legal framework that will help attract both large and small investors contributing to sustainable economic growth.

It was also noted that an effectively functioning judicial system is needed to stimulate business development and attract foreign investment. The parties noted that legal stability and reliability play a key role in attracting investments.

According to Ms. Carolyn Lamm, the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, including those aimed at developing entrepreneurship, strengthening the guarantees of foreign investors, increase the confidence of foreign entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan, and arouse their desire to do business in Uzbekistan.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the dialogue.
