At the event “Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia: Stability, Security and Sustainable Development”, held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Caroline Milow, “Green Central Asia” program manager of the German Society for International Cooperation, addressing the audience, noted:
– The pragmatic regional policy of the President of Uzbekistan made it possible to eliminate many existing barriers between the countries of Central Asia. His efforts aimed at strengthening security in the Central Asian region and actively promoting the maintenance of peace and tranquility in Afghanistan deserve special attention. I am sure that the statement of the President of Uzbekistan about his intention to continue to provide the necessary assistance to the Afghan people, the creation of an international humanitarian aid hub in the city of Termez, and the continuation of the education of Afghans aroused high recognition from the international community. At the same time, attention was focused on the importance of dialogue on border security issues, water use development, and trade.
