Minister of Transport Ilhom Mahkamov held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov.

The parties discussed aspects related to the development of bilateral road transport, including the current situation at border checkpoints and issues of creating equal conditions for national carriers of the two countries.

Views were exchanged on the development of cargo transportation through the ports of Aktau and Kuryk due to the formation of competitive tariffs for transportation and port services by the Kazakh side. The implementation of joint projects on the construction of the Uchquduq – Kyzylorda and Darbaza – Maktaaral railways was also discussed.
