A meeting of Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan expert working group on fees levied for international road transport between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was held via videoconference.

According to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed optimizing fees levied on carriers in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in international cargo transportation. The possibility of accelerating the signing of a draft intergovernmental agreement to simplify procedures for obtaining visas for participants in international cargo transportation across the territory of the two countries was also studied.

The Turkmen side expressed interest in studying Uzbekistan’s experience in transitioning to the “E-permit” system, which provides for real-time electronic exchange of permit forms.

At the meeting, tasks to be implemented in the future were identified.
