Termez hosted a meeting with an Afghan delegation led by the head of the Afghan Railway Administration Bakht-ur-Rehman Sharafat.

According to Uzbekistan Railways JSC, at the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a new agreement between the Afghan Railway Administration and Sogdiana Trans on the continuation of the operation of the Hairatan – Mazar-i-Sharif railway. On February 10, the delivery of wagons sent to Afghanistan to the Hairatan station by the subsidiary of Sogdiana Trans, Uzbekistan Railways JSC, was resumed.

Following the talks, a protocol on the agreements reached was signed.
