At the Department of Metallurgy of Navoi State Mining and Technology University, students are taught by Professor Shafiq Alam from the University of Saskatchewan.

“This is my first time in Uzbekistan”, says Professor Shafiq Alam. “I am impressed by the hospitality of the Uzbek people and the students’ eagerness to learn”.

The University of Saskatchewan hosts more than 26,000 students from 130 countries. As part of a scientific internship and student exchange program, cooperation between the university and Navoi State Mining and Technology University is planned. 

The English-language lectures will continue until February 22.
