The Bukhаrа Regional stage of the Businesswoman -2016 contest has taken place in Bukhаrа.

At the contest arranged by the movement of entrepreneurs and businessmen – The Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party’s regional council in cooperation with the regional council of farmers, the regional territorial directorate of the Commerce and Industry Chamber and other organizations, it was said that special attention was being paid under the leadership of the country’s President to increasing women’s activeness in society.

This contest is also important as it is aimed at encouraging and supporting enterprising women.

There are more than 5 thousand businesswomen working in the region. In supporting business ideas of businesswomen credits being granted by commercial banks are of important significance. In the first six months of this year, 35 billion 623 million soms worth of finance was allocated for 877 enterprising women and girls. As a result of the implementation of projects directed towards developing the production and services sectors, 560 new jobs were created.

As part of the contest, there was an exhibition of products being made by enterprising and farmer women.

The head of the Ghizhduvon Mashhurasi private enterprise in Ghizhduvon District, Zamira Safarova, was declared the winner, and she is through to the republican stage of the contest.

“Our enterprise is producing knitwear clothes,” Zamira Safarova says.

Participants were given awards on such nominations as “The youngest female entrepreneur”, “The youngest female farmer”, “The youngest craftswoman”, “Generous businesswoman” and “The most enterprising woman”.
