Baku hosted the Azerbaijan – Uzbekistan Business Forum, and B2B meetings dedicated to expanding the volume and range of mutual trade turnover.

More than 80 business representatives from the two countries attended the event, which was organized jointly with the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan.

An exhibition of Uzbek products, including textiles, cosmetics, agriculture, medicine and pharmaceuticals, and household goods, was presented to Azerbaijani partners.

The official opening of the meeting was attended by the Vice President of the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Vugar Zeynalov, Founder and CEO of the Uzbekistan Trading House in Baku Ramin Sharifov and Deputy Chairman of the Association of Exporters of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Valikhanov.

Following the event, export agreements were signed with Uzbekistan companies. The parties also agreed to supply products to the Uzbekistan Trading House operating in Baku. Azerbaijani companies planned to pay a business visit to Uzbekistan in August-September to acquire local production facilities.
