As part of the preparation for the Third Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held on May 2-3, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to the Sultanate of Oman, Abdusal Hotamov, met with the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of this country, Sheikh Faisal Rawas, and local businesspeople.
Views were exchanged on historical ties between Uzbekistan and Oman and the current state and prospects of relations developing in all areas.
Detailed information was provided on the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan over the past seven years, the opportunities created for foreign investors, and export-oriented products.

It was noted that the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion of Oman, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, will attend the upcoming forum. Local businessmen were also invited to the event.
The forum is essential not only for Uzbekistan but also for the entire region. Traditionally, its program includes over 40 events, such as a plenary session with the participation of heads of state and over 50 expert meetings dedicated to discussing various issues, including debates, roundtable discussions, B2B meetings, panel sessions, presentations, and a meeting of the intergovernmental commission.
A launch ceremony for several projects is also planned. It was emphasized that each forum participant would be able to find new partners, study specific investment projects, discuss the latest trends in dozens of areas, and make promising proposals.

A special place on the agenda is to demonstrate the potential of Uzbekistan, which, against the backdrop of economic turbulence in the world, shows the pace of sustainable development, consistently turning into a real investment center of Central Asia.
It should be recalled that the scale and geography of the forum are expanding year after year.
In 2022, the first forum was attended by about 2 thousand investors and high-ranking guests from 56 countries. In 2023, the forum brought together participants from 70 countries. As a result, 164 documents were signed for $11 billion.
Guests from 84 countries – a total of 2,500 investors, officials, and analysts – expressed their desire to participate in the Third Tashkent International Investment Forum this year.
