Almaty hosted a conference on “Honesty is the foundation in business” as part of the CABIN initiative.

Representatives of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan attended the event.

The event was also attended by senior staff from the Office of the Business Ombudsman of Uzbekistan, who exchanged views on the work carried out in the region in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and international anti-corruption organizations.

The CABIN initiative was launched by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in collaboration with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and its primary goal is to promote the implementation of the UN Convention against Corruption.
