Bukhara hosted an international conference on “The role of eternal Bukhara in Islamic civilization”.

The event dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Mir Arab madrasah was attended by the ulema of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and the Abu Dhabi Peace Forum, the muftis of Uzbekistan, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Islamic scholars, and representatives of the religious sphere.

The participants visited the Bahouddin Naqshband and Poyi Kalon complexes.

The international conference, held at the Mir Arab Madrasah, was chaired by the Rector of Tashkent Islamic Institute named after Imam Bukhari, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Muhammadolim Muhammadsidiqov.

It was noted that Bukhara has gained great authority over the centuries in the Islamic world with its rich scientific heritage and enormous contribution to the development of the Islamic science and education system. Mir Arab is one of the madrassas that glorified Bukhara throughout the world. It is 500 years since the beginning of the activity of this institution, according to Muslim chronology.

Reports were heard on the significance of the scientific heritage of the thinkers of Bukhara, the 500th anniversary of the founding of the Mir Arab Madrasah, the contribution of the Babakhanov dynasty to the preservation, promotion, and protection of the Islamic religion, and others.

At the same time, opinions were expressed on essential tasks during the forum, and proposals were put forward. At the international conference, scientific findings were exchanged, and an agreement was reached to hold such events in the future.
