Bukhara through the eyes of Israeli media representatives
18:16 / 2023-09-04

On September 2-3 this year, the leading Israeli media representatives visited Bukhara.

The creative team also visited several cultural heritage sites and a Jewish synagogue to prepare promotional materials about the city’s tourism potential. The ancient monuments of architecture and the richest history of Bukhara impressed the guests. The acquaintance with such crafts as pottery, blacksmithing, embroidery, carpet weaving, and craftsmanship, passed down from generation to generation, did not leave anyone indifferent.

The guests watched with great admiration the work of the potter Abdulla Narzullayev, the blacksmith Shakir Kamolov, the representative of miniature art Davlat Toshev in Gijduvan pottery center, the activities of “Naqshband Hunarmandchilik Markazi” (Embroidery Center) of Bukhara region. The video film captures the ancient historical sights of the region, the cultural traditions and customs of our people, and art objects – in a word, everything that can demonstrate the high tourism potential of Bukhara.

Materials filmed within the framework of cooperation between the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Israel, the Committee for Tourism, and Bukhara region will be widely promoted in the media around the world, the State of Israel, as well as in countries where Bukharian Jews live. This is of great importance in increasing the interest of foreign tourists in Uzbekistan and their acquaintance with Bukhara.
