In 2021, 2.2 million tourists visited Bukhara. The number of foreign tourists exceeded 48.9 thousand. This figure is almost 8 times higher than in 2020 in domestic tourism and 3.5 times higher than the number of foreign tourists.

Despite the pandemic, thanks to the benefits and conveniences created by the state in the tourism business and the launch of 78 new hotels, their total number reached 415 in 2021. The number of large hotels has reached 163, family guest houses – 197, hostels – 52 and motels – 1.

The number of tour operators has increased by 121, tour guides by 252, restaurants for tourists by 90, tourist buses and minibuses by 281, tourism road signs by 128, tourist information centers by 26.

Following the talks with foreign airlines, in addition to domestic and direct flights to Bukhara International Airport, 871 charter flights were operated from Russia, Europe, Turkey and Kazakhstan.
