Bukhara restores cultural heritage objects

829 cultural heritage sites are protected by the state in Bukhara region.

Among them: 31 madrasahs, 105 mosques, 12 tombs, 133 architectural ensembles, 15 caravanserais, 4 ancient covered shopping arcades and vaulted palaces, 18 sights, 122 old houses, 370 architectural and 17 monuments.

At the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, 75.4 billion UZS were allocated for the reconstruction of 123 cultural heritage sites in 2017-2022. In 2017, 13 cultural heritage sites were restored, in 2018 – 6, in 2019 – 16, in 2020 – 43, in 2021 – 45. All restored projects received positive conclusions from the Republican Scientific and Expert Council of the Cultural Heritage Agency and UNESCO.
