Bukhara hosted the International Night Race. The race started in the ancient city and passed along the streets of Bukhara.

The race was held by the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports together with the Hokimiyat of Bukhara region. The competition participants could admire the mosques, madrasahs, and domes, which created an extraordinary atmosphere.

Initiated with the support of the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, the Bukhara Night Race has become almost the most anticipated event. Since 2019, a charity marathon “Samarkand Marathon” has been organized. A series of Samarkand Marathon races, which take place in Bukhara, Zaamin, Bostanlyk districts and the city of Samarkand, are aimed at supporting charitable goals – the construction of children’s sports grounds.
