Building states’ capacity to prevent and combat terrorism discussed
On the second day of the International Conference taking place in Tashkent, within the framework of the third breakout session on “Building states’ capacity to prevent and combat terrorism and to strengthen the role of the United Nations system in that regard”, the need for an integrated regional and global approach to eliminate the conditions conducive to the spread of terrorism, and to join efforts in this direction was noted.
The participants also spoke about the situation in Afghanistan and its direct relation to Central Asia. It was emphasized that the achievement of peace and stability in this country is an important condition for ensuring security in the region.
It was recognized that this prestigious conference would serve as a solid foundation for the joint struggle of the Central Asian states against terrorism.
