The National Press Center hosted a press conference dedicated to the analysis of the work carried out in the building materials industry over 11 months.

Participants were informed about the activities and plans of the O'zsanoatqurilishmateriallari Association. The event was attended by the association’s leadership and specialists.

According to the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of O'zsanoatqurilishmateriallari Association Azizbek Bakhodirov, the production of building materials for 24.2 trillion UZS was planned for the current year. Over the past 11 months, the association's enterprises have produced products worth 8.7 trillion UZS.

The total volume of imports of the industry amounted to $1 billion 10.9 million. By the end of this year, the import of member enterprises of the association will be reduced by $21 million, or 6.5 percent. This year, $1 billion 104 million will be attracted to the industry, including $912 million of foreign direct investment. According to the Association's investment program, $328.1 million will be disbursed within the framework of 39 projects, of which $215 million will be a foreign direct investment. It is also noteworthy that 12 projects worth $306 million were launched this year, resulting in the creation of 1,635 new jobs.

It was noted that the volume of exports amounted to $ 376.2 million, or 167.6 percent of the target figure. 

Information about the association's plans for 2022 was also presented at the conference. So, next year it is planned to increase the production of building materials to 27.6 trillion UZS, including 10.5 trillion UZS within the framework of the association, and increase by 110.1 percent.
