Uzbekistan diplomats, together with the British Expertise International (BEI), have organized a webinar on “Uzbekistan Deep Dive”.

The event was attended by representatives of about 40 British companies working in such sectors of the economy as infrastructure projects (railways, water treatment plants, energy, including alternative), education, healthcare, finance, standardization, consulting and others.

The parties analyzed the investment, trade and economic potential of Uzbekistan, as well as the opportunities opening up in the country for British companies.

The Uzbek side informed the participants of the event about large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, including economic liberalization, the creation of a favorable investment climate, a privatization program, and a constructive regional policy.

British speakers noted that in 2020 Uzbekistan became one of the few states in the Europe and Central Asia region that demonstrated positive economic growth. Along with this, the course for deep modernization and technical re-equipment of the national economy using large resources and human potential stimulates the improvement of Uzbekistan’s positions in international rankings, opens up wide opportunities for the participation of British companies in the implementation of various projects.
