The warm rays of the sun, barely touching the snow lying on the slopes of the mountains in Surkhandarya region, melt it. Nature gradually awakens from its winter hibernation. You can feel the breath of spring everywhere. There are more and more wild animals living in the Yuqori Tupalang National Natural Park, covering the Gissar mountains. They are guarded by park staff.
The Director of the park, Nuriddin Sattarov, told UzA that the number of wild boars has increased in the territory compared to last year.

“After the animals were taken under protection, they felt more confident”, says Mr. Sattarov. – Now they move freely on the high slopes of the mountains. An important factor in the growth of their numbers and survival in the harsh winter days was the fact that they were taken care of and fed. With the onset of warm days, herds of animals descended from the mountains into the valleys and began to look for food along the river coast.
Yuqori Tupalang National Natural Park with rich flora and fauna covers an area of 27,851 hectares and is managed by the Uzun State Forestry.
You can meet such animals as a mountain goat, wild boar, bear, wolf, snow leopard, squirrel, fox, hare, lynx, rare birds, and in the rivers – red trout, marinka fish in the park at any time of the year.
