Biloliddin Obidov leads among young chess players

Batumi hosts the World Youth Chess Championship among children aged 8-12.

288 young chess players from 37 countries are participating in the championship. Uzbekistan athletes are showing success in the game.

Uzbekistan’s Biloliddin Obidov has been leading in group A among chess players aged 12 years. In the fifth round, he played with Syed Abdul Khader and beat his opponent on the 59th move.

Abdurakhmon Rajabov ranks eighth in group B among children aged 8. Hasan Akramov takes 11th place among the 10-year-old chess players in the same group.

Among girls, Khusnora Khusniddinova ranks fifth (12 years old), Mumtozbegim Sobirova – eighth (10 years old), and Farzonabonu Bozorova – ninth (8 years old).

The championship will run until July 3.
