Chargé d'Affaires of Uzbekistan to Sweden Nodir Ganiyev met with the Chief Operating Officer of Better Cotton Initiative Lena Staafgard.

The parties discussed the plans of the Better Cotton Initiative to develop cooperation with Uzbekistan, as well as to assist Uzbekistan cotton and textile clusters in growing cotton in accordance with world standards.

The parties exchanged views on the current state of trade and economic interaction between the two countries, as well as the prospects for increasing the export of Uzbekistan textile products to Sweden.

Lena Staafgard informed that the Better Cotton Initiative plans to open a representative office in Tashkent to develop cooperation with Uzbek partners.
