People of Uzbekistan rationally used the provided days off on the occasion of the nationwide holiday Navruz and traveled around the country.
Benefits for transport, a wide range of tourist services provided a large flow of tourists. 203,000 local and 20,000 foreign tourists visited Samarkand on 18-22 March.

At the initiative of the Hokimiyat of Samarkand region, various competitions, a gastronomic festival, an exhibition-fair of national embroidery and other cultural and entertainment events are held to attract even more guests.
During the spring break – on 21-31 March – the Youth Tourism Week is held to organize meaningful recreation for young people, during which special discounts are offered on trips to the sights of the country for schoolchildren and students aged 7 to 30 years. Admission to museums and cultural heritage sites is free.

Within the framework of the week, 511 schoolchildren from the city of Samarkand and 50 schoolchildren from Bulungur district visited Bukhara region. More than 100 students from Toyloq district and the city of Samarkand visited Tashkent.
