Berlin showcases Uzbekistan’s archaeological treasures

The famous James Simon Gallery in Berlin hosted several cultural events.

The exhibition “Archaeological Treasures of Uzbekistan – from Alexander the Great to the Kushan Empire” was opened during a visit to Germany by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev (May 2-3 this year) and is dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.

The exposition consists of 285 unique museum items belonging to the collections of 9 museums in Uzbekistan, which cover the period from the second half of the 4th century BC until the 4th century AD.

The exhibition has become one of the most important cultural events in the German capital and continues to arouse great interest among residents and guests of Berlin. According to the museum, about 1,300 people visit the exhibition every day, and thanks to this exhibition, the number of visitors to the museum has increased significantly.

The events were attended by representatives of Germany's political, business, and academic circles and diplomatic missions of foreign countries accredited in Berlin.
